Taking inspiration from the opera by Giuseppe Verdi “Un Ballo in Maschera”, this first carnival event aims to recreate the atmosphere of the masked balls of the 1600s and 1700s. An evening of dancing in the name of elegance and fun in the magnificent hall of the Ridotto which in the 17th-18th century hosted the carnivals of Venice for 6 months a year. This event offers the opportunity to travel back in time, listen to baroque music, and above all have fun in company, learning the basic steps of period group dances under the guidance of the Dance Master.
The event includes a welcome aperitif and a four-course seated dinner paired with regional wines. The main courses are based on fish, but in case of preference for a vegetarian or meat menu the attendees can inform us at the time of booking. It will not be possible to change the type of menu during the event and any food allergy must be reported to the booking office.
The entrance to the halls is set at 8 p.m. A cloakroom service will be available and, in case of mobility difficulties, there is an elevator.
It is mandatory to wear the period costume, and only on January 31st the Atelier Tiepolo will be open inside the hotel Monaco for the guests who have purchased the silver or gold ticket.
